A dash of PBs and some rock and roll....

Last weekend saw some great results for PRC on the fells and trails of North Yorkshire.

Amanda Welburn-Smith and Clare Mawrey took on the Goathland Hardmoors half on Saturday 10th November. Amanda was very happy with her time of 2:23:42 and her 11th lady position.  Clare completed the tough half course in 2:35:34.  Juliette Pilgrim and Jennie Storrie joined those attempting the full marathon. Juliette completed in a strong 5:34:05. Jennie, in her first trail marathon, came in well under her target time of 7 hours in 6:18:06.

On Sunday, the popular Dalby Dash 10k was well attended and supported by PRC. Over 450 runners took on this race in Dalby Forest, starting with a steady climb from Low Dalby, followed by a fast and furious descent to the finish.

Ben Myers came in first for PRC, 19th overall in a speedy 38:53. Next to cross the line was Paul Robinson, achieving a course PB of 42:18 and 3rd in his age category, followed by Paul Smith in 43:47. Ruth Kaftirani continued to show excellent race performance, coming in 1st for PRC lades in 46:46. Adrian Greaves completed the course in 47:06, with Chris Adams hot on his heels in 47:26. Gemma Fearnley put in a strong race to finish 2nd lady for the club in 47:50. Mike Hetherton took home 1st in his age category with his time of 48:06.  Paul Tate-Smith was thrilled to complete in a course PB of 49:17. Amanda Welburn-Smith managed a PB of 51:20 despite having run Goathland half marathon the day before. Kelly Gaughan came in just 6 seconds after Amanda. Sue Slack crossed the line in 52:19, with David Stephenson close behind her in 52:49.  Nicola and Jennifer Wise completed the race in under an hour, coming in at 58:09 and 58:44 respectively. Rebecca Bruce, returning to club colours after a long time out, finished in 1:00:44, happy to be competing again. Dean Wise completed a great day for the Wises, finishing in 1:02:24. Heather and Chloe Riley crossed the line together in 1:07:06, followed by Hilary Turner in 1:13:14. Nadine Douch completed her first Dalby Dash, crossing the line in 1:13:00.  

Further afield, Pam Garnett did the Las Vegas Rock and Roll half marathon. Despite having injured her foot earlier in the day, Pam had a great time running along the Strip at night, and finished in a steady 2:54:00.
