Nine brave PRC members headed out in the wind and rain to take on the Esk Valley Glaisedale fell race.  The 8.5 mile loop included a challenging 1,400 feet of ascent across the challenging moorland terrain.  First back for the club was Simon Rycroft in a speedy 71.56 to take 20th place out of a field of 114 competitors.  Andy Harvey and Kim Cavill were in close competition and Andy just had the edge at the end finishing in 83.41 just ahead of Kim in 84.07.  The next pair battling it out were Paul Smith and Nick Cousins with Smith just taking the win in 87.39 with Cousins in sight in 88.04.  Michael Hetherton had another superb race and again took the top spot in his age category in 93.03.  Club President Sue Slack had a cracking run to take second in her age category in 97.51 followed by David Stephenson in 100.49 and Sally Brown rounded off the crew in 113.05 finishing third in her age category – well done all!
