Re: [Pickering Running Club] New Blog entry: Is it time to chang

Hi Dean. These are great and I certainly think a vast improvement on our current range. I will be at the meeting on Thursday and will give you my thoughts then if that is ok? Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this one. Paul

Oooo exciting, thank you for

Oooo exciting, thank you for organising this Dean it is much appreciated as i am sure it takes some getting together - I REALLY like the hoody and zip up top design - personal preference on the t shirts is I like the first of your 'alternative' options.  As a lady I would like to question if the tops are longer in style, as the current women's vest top is no where near long enough no matter what actual size you get - do you have any idea of measurements to compare to current vests?  I would certainly be interested in a zip top, hoody and, if the vests are better length wise, a vest and t shirt too.

Will keep watching this thread with interest.

Thanks

Hi Dean

I like the "original" tee and vest design

I really love the hoodie and the first design of the full zip top

I prefer the 2nd design in the alternative tee

I'm not sure on the "swirly" design, and how it would look with a race number, it makes me a bit dizzy.

I prefer the block design, like the 2nd alternative tee

I hope that helps

Good work by the way, thank you

Sally

Dean thanks to you and the

Dean thanks to you and the 'kit Crew' in providing the clothing range refresh opportunity.

My feedback:

The range looks great. My vote would go for the new colour scheme ......would the colours for the race kit be accepted by the EAA and other race governance outfits? As you may be aware we have the existing vest colours registered/accepted.

When i sourced the original black 'post run' clothing i ensured the quality was high intending the gear (black hoody, gillet, rugby shirt) to be well used and last decades (we are Yorkshire reidents!) Looking on the backs of the longer serving members i believe this stategy delivered.

The later procuremnt of similar but much cheaper hoodies (no critisism of folks involved and recognising the task had value for money objectives) resulted generally in fading ,shrinkage and disposal (thats the kit not the members!)

So i would recommend obtaining some 'higher end' garment samples, in the styles most popular with the membership, then maybe consider some funding from savings to support and progress the project?

Excellent piece of work Dean......you have a bright PRC  futureCool

thanks Steve

Great idea to get T-shirts

Great idea to get T-shirts done and I like the Yorkshire rose addition. Not sure about the Union Flag though, just colour wise.

The green hoodies look fab too. Personally I like the plain designs but having something jazzier would make us stand out from the other green teams so am happy to go with the majority.

Speaking as one of the most

Speaking as one of the most fashion conscious people that most of you will know, I am blown away by these.  They are brilliant.

I have been craving a racing t-shirt for several years.  So I would definitely purchase one of those.  I am a traditionalist on design BUT I have to admit that the swirly vests and T-shirts look fabulous.

The first hoodie shown is brilliant.  When can I have one.

I would also like to echo Steve Hampshire's point about quality.  I joined the club just after the good quality batch of black gear was purchased so missed out on that.  I just don't wear the hoodie and rugby shirt I bought in the 2nd round due to poor quality.

Dear All

I recommended O'Neils to PRC because we use them at Malton Rugby club, I set it up for the rugby club so I am heavily involved. Feedback from the rugby club is very positive regarding the quality. We have a few items at home which we are happy with. Im happy
to bring a selection to the AGM if you would like to see them? Or Dean may be able to get samples sent of specific items from O'Neils.

Yes. some samples would be good. We need to check that the fabric is good. Thanks for putting us onto this, SallyOn Wed, 13 Mar 2019 at 14:55, Sally Raines <admin@pickeringrunningclub.co.uk> wrote:

Hi Dean,Great that we have

Hi Dean,

Great that we have the choice of a tshirt as well as a vest. I prefer the block colour ones rather than the really jazzy ones. Think the PRC logo would get lost in the design on the Sun ray ones.I would definitely buy a tshirt and possibly a hoody. What about a buff too ?

Thanks for all the work you've put into sorting this out

This is very exciting. I think its a great opportunity to have male and female specific options. For female , it would need to be shaped and also have a lower neckline, especially on the T shirt. And as someone else said, longer rather than shorter (to cover our big bums)

The only thing that I dont like about this is the presence of flags on the sleeves.

If I'm running for PRC, I'm not running for GB &NI, nor Yorkshire; I'm running for my friends in PRC. That would be true at any time: in spades at the moment.

Yes, I agree with you Paul. I don’t object to the Yorkshire Rose so much but definitely not keen on having the Union Jack- it clogs it up somewhat design-wise too.On Wed, 13 Mar 2019 at 15:33, Paul Robinson <admin@pickeringrunningclub.co.uk> wrote:((

Hi Dean

Thanks for all the work you've put into this. I love the zip up hoodies and think it's great to have a T shirt option as well as the vest style.  I agree with earlier comments regarding womens tops and flags. In terms of shirt design my preferences are for the first ones and not the swirly ones.
